These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of FireBudget, operated by ML Cloud Technologies ("we," "our," or "us"), a budgeting and personal finance management service. By accessing or using our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. Service Description
FireBudget provides a web-based budgeting application that helps you manage your personal finances using zero-based budgeting principles. Our service includes:
- Budget creation and management tools
- Transaction tracking and categorization
- Account balance monitoring
- Financial reporting and insights
FireBudget is for informational purposes only and does not constitute financial advice. Always consult with qualified financial professionals for investment decisions.
3. User Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account due to privacy law requirements. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or guardian to use our service.
By using FireBudget, you represent that you meet these age requirements and have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms.
4. Account Registration and Security
To use FireBudget, you must create an account with a valid email address and password. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Immediately notifying us of any unauthorized access
- Logging out of your account when finished
- Providing accurate and current information
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or appear to be fraudulent.
5. Subscription, Payment, and Termination
Subscription Plans
FireBudget offers subscription-based access to our service. Current pricing and subscription options are available on our website. New users may be eligible for a free trial period as advertised.
Billing and Renewal
- Subscriptions automatically renew according to your selected billing cycle unless canceled
- You will be charged at the beginning of each billing period
- Pricing changes will be communicated at least 30 days in advance
- We accept major credit cards and process payments securely
Subscription Cancellation
- You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings or by emailing us at support@firebudget.org
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
- No refunds for partial billing periods, except as required by law
- Free trials (where offered) can be canceled anytime without charges
Account Termination
Either party may terminate your access to FireBudget:
- By You: Cancel your subscription anytime from account settings or by emailing support@firebudget.org
- By Us: For violation of these Terms, non-payment, or at our discretion with reasonable notice
Immediate Termination Rights
We may immediately suspend or terminate your account without notice if:
- You violate these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy
- We suspect fraudulent, illegal, or harmful activity
- Your account is subject to legal process or government investigation
- We're required to do so by law or regulation
- Your payment method fails repeatedly
- You engage in activity that threatens service security or stability
Effects of Termination
Upon termination:
- Your access to the service will cease
- We may delete your account and data after a reasonable period (except for immediate termination where data export may be restricted)
- You can export your data before termination when legally permissible
- These Terms will continue to apply to past use of the service
- Upon immediate termination, you forfeit access to your account and data, though we may provide reasonable opportunity for data export unless prohibited by law
6. Acceptable Use
You agree to use FireBudget only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You may not:
- Use the service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the service
- Upload malicious software or harmful content
- Use the service to transmit spam or unsolicited communications
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Share your account with others or create accounts for others
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract our source code
7. Data and Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

- Financial data is manually entered by you - we don't access bank accounts
- You can export your data at any time

- We will notify you of significant data breaches affecting your personal information within reasonable timeframes as required by applicable laws

FireBudget and all related content, features, and functionality are owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may not:

- Use our trademarks or logos without authorization
- Create derivative works based on our service
- Use our service for commercial purposes without a commercial license
You retain ownership of the financial data you enter into FireBudget.
9. Service Availability
We are committed to maintaining high service availability and reliable access to FireBudget. Occasional service interruptions may occur due to:

FireBudget is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We disclaim all warranties, including:

- Uninterrupted service availability

- Non-infringement of third-party rights
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost profits or data, arising from your use of FireBudget.
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
